Quarantine
Ugh, I'm stuck at home what do I do?
I came across a tweet saying that instead of feeding our mind by saying
"OMG, I can't go out this is the worst thing ever"
but what we can do, reasonably is to alter our mindset/ perspective of seeing things a little differently. Again, instead of saying the previous "OMG.."
We can change it into "I am safe at home" (ctto) let that penetrate your mind walls. You are safe at your house, your family is safe with you, you have plenty of time to discover and explore great things about yourself.
It's simple, whatever you feed into your mind will be manifested into your life; Law of attraction (i will explain further on LOA in my next post)
To be frank, at first yes I was a bit annoyed because I couldn't get out of my house. That's crazy, my whole life is all about being outside. I am a dance instructor/choreographer traveling almost 2 hours to get to work, I go out almost every single day to run errands, dance practices and workshops, college classes, and the list goes on.
But after almost a month altering my mindset and behavior pattern, I am literally enjoying myself at home and you should too. Come to think of it, you have plenty, I mean PLENTY of time to do a lot of things. You have 24 hours in a day to yourself. Isn't that great? There are days that are a handful to grasp on but I'm super determined on having a good, decent day; yes, at home.
MY QUA-ROUTINE
Get it? Quarantine.. routine.. qua-routine? OK, I should stop. Below are my lists of what I actually do on my daily quarantine basis.
1. Morning; Get Up Early
This might be the hardest thing for all of us, even me. I wake up at 12pm/1pm almost every day since the start of MCO. After weeks, it's getting annoying that I woke up so late I just felt like I missed out a lot in the morning. ps/ I love, love mornings and evenings. So one day I decided that I need to (literally force) myself to wake up early. Basking in the morning vibes. When I actually do, it really felt good.
- Set your alarm a little earlier,
- Set up your intentions for the rest of the day,
- Jot down how you want to spend the rest of your day.
- Set up a to-do list in the morning (or the night before to be prepared)
- Pray & Meditate
- Spray/Water my bedroom plant
- Have a good breakfast
- Hang out with my feline companions (cats!)
- Stay at the garden (absorb the nature goodness)
- Stretch out limbs (Search for home yoga @ youtube)
My favorite thing to do in the morning is to read. Physical books, ebook, anything. I will take at least 20 minutes to dive into my escape space while having my honey lemon green tea.
2. Noon; Tasks
After spending my morning, I would usually take a nice shower & lunch and head to do my important tasks. Ie; checking emails, google classroom (student struggles), assignments, work work, and work. At times, I would study my college modules & take online certificate classes at Coursera. Disclaimer; just sharing, COURSERA is having free online courses you can enroll. Just search for 'free online courses Coursera'
3. Declutter
2 weeks in MCO, I decided to have a major room makeover. I had the whole day to change from a single room to a master bedroom. Decorating rooms, being creative in the whole process makes me so happy. You can also declutter your stuff; recycling clothes, old items et cetera. Digital declutter too; deleting/ re-arranging your pictures and files.
4. Listen to music
This may be my biggest companion. I listen to good music almost all the time, it makes my soul happy. I made new playlists discover new gems, good artists. If you want to have a good time, do follow my Spotify playlist <3 @ Adriana Nana

5. Other activities
- Put on full makeup (take tons of pictures pretending I'm going out)
- Put on good outfits
- Paint! (I love to paint galaxies and moons)
- Edit music/remixes (I love creating remixes)
- Writing (Jot down your day, what you're feeling, your thoughts)
- Listen to a podcast (I suggest; the Mindset Mentor for motivational/self-help & Something Private for women health @ Spotify)
- Dance! (I'm a dancer, I will usually freestyle to music, choreograph/ create new limbs, take online classes or teach one!)
- Workout (I eat a lot, but I need to stay in shape too. Even I'm totally out of shape)
- Cooking (try out new recipes!)
- Shop online (recently I went crazy on book sales & shoppee)
6. Night Time
Having a good night time routine is probably the most important. At the end of the day, after disciplining myself going through with my lists, night time is where I pamper and treat myself.
- Long hot shower
- Pray & meditate
- Gratitude; thanking & appreciating everything I have.
- Listen to good r&b music
- Drink my hot tea
- Skincare routine
- Lotions & oils for my body
- Perfumes
- Facetime with my loved one.
- Browse twitter, Instagram and et cetera.
Basically, I'm done for the day and ready to switch off.
